]]> General Motors got kicked out of the Dow Jones industrial after 84 years. (Bloomberg News). Also kicked out of the Dow Jones Industrial Average was Citigroup. This comes as General Motors filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The US Government will be GM’s main shareholder. Details of the bankruptcy will be released later. Another auto industry’s giant, Chrysler, has already filed for bankruptcy protection and is in process of ending agreements with dealerships. Ford is the only major US auto company that has not filed for bankruptcy protection.
